  • Why America refuses to really view the facts about Obama's presidency

Lately there has been a louder outcry of foul in regards to Barrack Obama's time as President. The problem here is that people aren't crying about the things they should, instead they are crying over propaganda that is more science fiction than reality. Obama isn't creating jobs, Obama isn't fixing the economy, Obama is the reason the economy is bad, those liberals and their spending...this is all a crock of poop if you ask me.

What most Americans don't realize is the presidency does not work like that of a company CEO, just because the president wants something done doesn't mean it will. If you look at any bills Obama has tried to pass he's had to fight tooth and nail and even has had to give the republican what they want just to get 10% of his initiate bill passed. It's kind of hard to run anything when 3 of the 4 wheels on the vehicle refuse to cooperate. You want someone to blame for the mess this country is in? Blame the Republicans and their openly admitted conspiracy to debunk Obama's image. They've been quoted as saying "Our focus is to make him a one term president" yet that completely escapes the public it seems. They had no choice but to deal with him because he was elected..how do they deal with it? Ensure he doesn't get elected..how do they do that? Prevent him from doing his job successfully. Many of you deal with this day in and day out in your work lives..we've all had one member of the staff who's sole purpose is to make themselves look better and make you look incompetent.

In any other big economy this would not be acceptable but since america often can't tell it's ass from it's face I don't expect the population to get it.

  • President Obama "The bad guy" or so they'd like us to believe

So over the past two years or so we've heard the recurring theme of President Obama is bad for america and bad for the citizens of this great nation. Its the song and dance that has been so heavily sold to the public to an extent never before seen in the political forum. The problem is we hear one thing but the facts and statistics sing another tune.

Even the strongest urban Obama supporters have had moments of doubts regarding our Presidents ability to lead this country from it's doom and gloom financial situation. They've been hounded by false statistics and by non-stop ranting from tea party and republican politicos alike. What happens when more people are screaming foul then people singing praise? People start buying into the former and this is a problem because it masks the truth of the situation. Amongst educated citizens of liberal backgrounds this is nothing more than propaganda blown out of proportion, yet the majority of america does not share the same level of education or understanding so they don't understand the difference between propaganda and actual fact. This is made further proof by the household debt difference between the two classes of citizens.

The fact is americans should believe half of what they read and/or see and at least attempt to sit down and face the facts. Liberals are known historically as passive and republicans have been historically known as aggressors this creates a gigantic problem for our current president. The fact is that this passive nature is hurting the democrats, the truth is being buried so deep that soon propaganda will start being referred to as fact when in fact it should not.

    Stimulus packages:

The first stimulus package was Bush's baby, he made the deal to take care of the banks and financial institutions. This was not Obama's brain child, it was not his negotiating that made that happen. It was not Obama who said ok to handing billions of dollars to bankers, bankers who turned around and never used the money to keep business in this country going. In fact Bush did such a horrible job with this package that bankers deemed it their war chest, this money was supposed to go to loans and mortgages and to helping businesses continue their operations. What did that package do? Nothing but sit in the vaults of a select few banks and investment firms collecting interest. This was Bush created, bush designed and bush approved.

The second stimulus package was Obama's, and it was done because of the whammy Bush's package created. The Obama stimulus package was for the people, not for big business. The package from start to finish was tailored to benefit the citizens and not the business owners. Having known people who were out of work at the time of this package I personally saw the effects this had on these individuals. People felt relieved and felt more able to survive the countries economic turmoil. Fact is this package saved countless jobs and companies indirectly. People with money to spend keeps positive cash flow in the markets therefore saving businesses from having to close or having to lay-off most of their work force. Forensic accountants have dissected the results of this package and every single last one has come to the conclusion that this package saved america from another great depression.

    The wars:

After September 11th 2001 our country launched an immediate war in two separate locations. The cost of these two wars was extremely high, thus taking money that would normally be designated for social programs and for assisting the citizens and shifting it to the war machine.

Here are some up to date costs of the wars:

The war in Iraq to date has cost this country:
    $795,299,453,219

The war in Afghanistan has cost this country:
    $454,611,715,513

Now add that tally to the 2003 tax cuts by Bush which included corporate breaks previously unheard of and you have a gigantic cluster f**k of bad deals. Corporations who moved their main offices outside of the U.S. would become exempt or pay an abysmally low tax rate to the U.S. government. This included companies who had billion dollar contracts from our own federal government. Now when people ask what happened to the jobs? Where did all the jobs go? Take a look above and you have your answer. How many companies have you called over the past 8 years only to speak to an employee of that company in another country? This includes companies such as Banks, utilities, and even health. Let's say the average company has a call center of between 200 and 1000 employees, now move those jobs out of the country for tax incentive and multiply those jobs by x amount of companies and you have your answer to what happened to the jobs. This is not democrat created, this is solely and should be owned by the republicans who during the bush era bent over backwards for special interests related to the corporate world. To hear these same republicans who voted in these tax cuts and this whammy on the american public scream that Obama has cost us jobs is laughable and down right shameful to those who actually sit down and read the facts.

    Conclusion:
Like Obama or not he's done everything in his power to turn all of that around while having to fight a republican dominate government. A same republican party who's tried to derail every single last bill or tax change he's attempted to enact. This is a classic situation of sabotage. On one hand they are holding the rope preventing him from making progress forward and in the other hand they are holding speeches to say "look he's not doing anything". The problem is people are focusing on the wrong hand and it's hurting this country in more ways than financially. Pick up any foreign written newspaper and read about our finances and you will see how it is presented instead of how it's sold to us here within our own publications. It seems everyone outside of the U.S. sees what's really happening while the citizens of this country in their desperation and the constant reminder that we are financially in trouble are focusing on the lies and buying into it. You want change? You want Obama to live up to his promises? Then vote out of office those impeding his success. Show the republican party that you will not buy into it's lies. Show these politicians that they will be held accountable for not protecting the interest of the people. Show the rest of the world that we are not as deaf, dumb, and blind as they are perceiving us to be. Give our president the tools and access he needs to give us a brighter future. The irony is that if we voted a republican president at the next election they'd follow the exact same path Obama has tried and unlike Obama they'll get their ideas and bills passed without a fight and they'll work but it wouldn't be Obama getting the credit for it it'll be them and that's what they are counting on. This is pure sabotage and it's time for american's to wake up and take control of their country and demand more from it's politicians. Sit down and educate yourselves the voting records are public it's not hard to see who's in on the sabotage, it's not hard to disprove these false allegations from the republican party. We have to be willing to find and use this information.

  • Who do todays Republicans really represent?

President Obama unleashed his jobs program last week calling for an influx of 447 billion to generate jobs and encourage more product building within America's own soil. The bill also carries new tax regulations for America's wealthiest, forcing them to stop writing off specifics and closing a number of tax loop holes popular amongst the wealthy to lower their already discounted tax rates. This same tax regulation is also being enforced on several industries. Of course most of these industries have lobbyists whose sole purpose in life is to keep politicians in the pocket of these companies. Wonder what people mean by "special interests"? Well I just explained it.

Since Obama's announcement of the new job plan most Republicans have been up in arms. Why? Well a party that believes in no social programs will raise its arms at anything that forces the rich to pay taxes. What really seems to escape rep supporters is that had Obama stated he was raising the taxes on Joe Six Pack the republicans would not be saying anything at all. So at the end of the day who do the republicans support? Certainly not the middle class and certainly not the poor. It amazes me to hear a person earning less than 150k a year say they support the republican party. Why? Because the republican agenda does not and has not and will never include them. In fact the republican agenda is to build America's future on the back of the worker versus building it's future on the backs on the industries that truly have the means to keep Joe Six Pack living a decent life. Instead Joe Six Pack should not only pay close to half of his wages in tax, but his boss should pay at least 20% less than he does regardless if the comma's on their yearly gross are worlds apart.

So Obama makes another suggestion to improve Joe Six Pack's earning ability but they scream it's another glorified "stimulus package" well guess what the first one was outgoing President Bush's stimulus and all it did was benefit the banks. Yet Obama gets blamed for the structure of that particular deal. Can anyone say propaganda? Some how Bush's short comings are being blamed on a President who inherited a country crippled by having it's war machine at full blast. Wars cost money people, money that if we weren't spending would not have us in the financial trouble we are in currently. It wasn't Obama who launched three simultaneous wars, and out of those 3 wars we only truly belonged in 1. The war on terror. I guess we spent over $3 million a day in private security to protect the oil fields of those politically connected..that wasn't Obama people that was Bush.

Yes Obama passed a stimulus package of his own, and as much propaganda as people want to spew out there anyone with any remote financing background has admitted that without it we would've entered a new great depression. This is proven by fact and statistics that cannot and will not be disputed by anyone who actually sits down to read them. These are not democrats writing these reports these are Joe Six Packs of the world who just happen to be accountants creating these reports both republican and democrat, yet they all come to the same conclusion the second stimulus package indeed worked better than you've been led to believe.

I don't really care about party lines, I am pro america but I am truly tired of the slander being tossed at the current president. It seems like there are other motivators there. We fully know that if the republicans and the undercover racists of this great nation could travel in time we would never hear of Obama. We know they feel stuck with him in office and the agenda seems to be let's trash him so bad and make his life so difficult that he'll either quit or we'll cement the perception that a man of color isn't ready to hold the office because "they had one but look how he failed". That's cynical and very anti american. Ruin the lives of the people in order to carry out your bigotry is not what we as citizens pledged to. Instead of trying to fix the country and providing solutions all we hear is criticism of the president. Bush messed up this country something awful but he's praised, Obama brings it back from the bring of collapse at the hands of Bush and he's the one who's guilty. I don't know about you but I want elected officials to leave their personal feelings and there deep rooted bigotry at the door and for them to do what's best for me, my family and my country.

  • Will Congress pass Obama's jobs plan?

Washington (CNN) -- As it considers President Barack Obama's $447 billion jobs plan, many members of a divided Congress appeared Friday to be in a compromising mood, seemingly eager to placate voters sick of infighting and inaction when it comes to jump-starting the economy.

Top House Republicans -- who have butted heads with Obama and his fellow Democrats on most every major policy effort since taking over the chamber early this year -- went into the speech reserving judgment, and struck a collaborative tone after listening to the president's laundry list of proposals.

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, who served as one of Obama's chief foils during this summer's debt debate, was among those signaling an intent to cooperate.

Official: 9/11 threat from al Qaeda operative intercepted

Washington (CNN) -- American spy networks have intercepted communications from an al Qaeda operative in Pakistan indicating plans for a terrorist strike in New York or Washington, according to a senior U.S. official.

The communications come from a source who has provided accurate information in the past, the official said, prompting intelligence officials to sift through communications from other al Qaeda cells.

No other corroborating evidence of an attack has been uncovered, the official added.

But the information indicates the plan -- thought to involve a vehicle-borne explosive device -- is meant to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

  • Oh, Those Catwoman Drivers! Accident on Dark Knight Rises Set

Maybe the funky headgear obstructed her vision. A slight mishap took place last Friday on the Pittsburgh set of The Dark Knight Rises when Anne Hathaway's Catwoman stunt-double found herself careening into a camera! So how bad was it? Fortunately, no one was hurt during the accident, which occurred at Carnegie Mellon University, but the camera will no doubt need a little fixing. In footage obtained by TMZ, the stuntwoman can be seen coming down a flight of stairs on what appears to be the Caped Crusader's Batpod before accidently coming face-to-face with the lens catching all the action. Meanwhile, the Catwoman costume itself is catching a lot of comments, many of which veer toward the »

  • Republican party disses soldiers: McCain nixes deal that would protect troops coming home

The Republican Party who has a long history of being anti middle and poor class and pro military has really managed to step in it this time. A study recently exposed that more soldiers committed suicide then the number of deaths via the result of combat. Representative Rush D. Holt a New Jersey Democrat introduced a bill that would force military services to follow up with returning soldier every 90 days. The bill was nixed by Republican Senator John McCain at the last minute. This is the same John McCain who served in the military and has made a career out of his military career and capture during combat. The irony here is this will be spun by the usual media sources to make it seem like this was a Democratic nixing. Here is the link to the full story.

  • Troubled Soul singer Amy Winehouse found dead at age 27

Police say Amy Winehouse, the troubled diva who had struggled with drug and alcohol abuse, has been found dead at her home in London.

Police confirmed that a 27-year-old female was pronounced dead at the home in Camden Square northern London.

Police said the cause of death was not immediately clear.

Amy Jade Winehouse (14 September 1983 â€“ 23 July 2011) was an English singer-songwriter, known for her powerful contralto vocals and her eclectic mix of various musical genres including R&Bsoul, and jazz. She has received publicity over her substance abuse and mental health issues. Winehouse died on 23 July 2011 in, as yet, unexplained circumstances.

Winehouse's 2003 debut album Frank was critically successful in the UK, and was nominated for the Mercury Prize. Her 2006 follow-up album Back to Black led to six Grammy Award nominations and five wins, tying the record for the most wins by a female artist in a single night, and made Winehouse the first British singer to win five Grammys, including three of the "Big Four": Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Song of the Year. On 14 February 2007, she won a BRIT Award for Best British Female Artist; she had also been nominated for Best British Album. She has won the Ivor Novello Award three times, one in 2004 for Best Contemporary Song (musically and lyrically) for "Stronger Than Me", one in 2007 for Best Contemporary Song for "Rehab", and one in 2008 for Best Song Musically and Lyrically for "Love Is a Losing Game", among other prestigious distinctions. The album was the third biggest seller of the 2000s in the United Kingdom.

Winehouse has been credited as being an influence in the rise in popularity of female musicians and soul music and revitalising British music. Winehouse's distinctive style has been the muse for fashion designers such as Karl Lagerfeld. The singer's problems with drug andalcohol abuse, as well as self-destructive behaviour, have become regular tabloid news since 2007. She and her former husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, were plagued by legal troubles that left him serving prison time. In 2008, Winehouse faced a series of health complications that threatened both her career and her life

  • Cinema Haven updates, design change, policy changes

Today we launched version 3 of Cinema Haven using a cleaner layout design, bringing back the chat system that was once very popular with our users. I know the previous versions of the website were less than visually striking and therefore elected to change the design so that we can visually match our amazing content. You may have noticed that we have done a massive cleanup of videos, the majority of the videos removed were movies and television shows which originated from unlicensed video providers. We have expressed time and time again that we do not support piracy, submitting pirated content to this website puts us in jeopardy and this will not be allowed. Since there is clearly a desire to watch network content we have assigned one person to post freely available content directly from the networks (NBC, FOX, UPN,  CW, etc) and from licensed providers like Hulu and Dailymotion. I know there will be some great limitations in the available content but it is the best we can do while following the DMCA laws. Unfortunately we are not in a position to license content at this time although we have been trying to raise enough capital to negotiate directly with the networks to get you such content. We are attempting to turn this website into a community maintained and community financed project that is free to all on the web. I hope that our supporters can help us not just financially but by telling the world about us and sharing the content they enjoy and have found on other websites.

We hope you enjoy the redesigned Cinema Haven.

  • Bridesmaids Becomes Highest Grossing R-Rated Female Comedy Ever

Paul Feig’s Bridesmaids is the little comedy that could. Despite a modest budget and no A-list stars, the Judd Apatow-produced film has been a consistent staple on the box office charts week after week. Now, after recently becoming the highest grossing entry in Judd Apatow's library, Bridesmaids has become the highest grossing R-rated female comedy ever (via THR). The film’s current domestic tally sits at $152.9 million, enough to dethrone the previous “top R-rated female comedy” record-holder Sex and the City (apparently the term “comedy” has a loose connotation). The script by star Kristin Wiig and Annie Mumolo hit that sweet spot of insane hilarity paired with a sizeable amount of heart. The film also owes a great amount of its success to director Feig (Freaks and Geeks) and the tour-de-force cast that includes Maya RudolphRose ByrneJon Hamm, Chris O’Dowd and stand-outMelissa McCarthy. »
